Today, we had our Annual Sports Day 2007. It was a terrible start for such an event. Guess what? It was raining lightly at the beginning but it became worse as time flies. I was so tired to go there. Sleepy, raining. If you think thats worse, there are tonnes of stuffs that happened today.
Firstly, last night I was so enthusiastic about bringing my digital camera to the stadium to take pictures. But although I brought the camera itself, when I turned it on, nothing happened. And guess what? My batteries are left at home. So, I was carrying a battery-less camera. Stupid right?
Another event was that Abbie slipped and fell after she ran and cross the finishing line. It was terrible. She slipped and head was on the ground, as if glued to it, then her legs went over her body and head. Meaning she did a 180 degrees flip on the ground. It was a horrible sight. But despite that, she still wants to run and she ran for the next event she participated. After that event, she was seriously injured and the Red Cross attended the same person 15 minutes ago. Ouh ya...she was carried by a Red Cross guy, which should be a memorable thing for her 'cause the guy is not those kind of nerdy-kind of people and he graduated from Coral for quite some time already. I actually took a video of the part when Abbie slipped but not the 180 degrees flip. Was too shocked and my hands was on the other direction. Abbie was then, bandaged...well, her knee that is. It twisted.
Another bad event was that in my house, Discoverers, two boys fought each other. The story from which I heard was that one drank milo and spit it out to the other boy's shirt. Who wouldn't be angry? And Ms Tham had to shout to them. Hahkz. During the Sports Day, during the staff race, it was fun to actually watch teachers run. Mr Osman was the shock for all the spectators as he ran as fast as lightning!!! It was so surprising to us.
Finally, Sports Day was won by Entrepreneurs and some ran all the way around the track with the trophy held high.
After the Sports Day, I followed Abbie and the gang(Hazelin, Amanda, Atiqah, Pavithra) for lunch...or brunch. It was torturing for me, Amanda, Atiqah and Pavi 'cause we had to walk very slow as Hazelin and Abbie are lame. Their legs were injured; one from school, the other from Sports Day. One on the left, the other on the right. Hahkz. When we walked, every passerby looked at us, wondering why we were so slow. After they looked at the legs, their confusion suddenly became clear. It was funny to some as its already embarassing for one to have an injured leg. But this one was two people who are injured!!! We walked so slow due to them but it was a fun experience. Hazelin just remembered that when she fell, Abbie kept teasing her for being lame then Hazelin said "Stop it lah. If you fall down arh, it'll be worse than me." It seemed that retribution due to curses and words are true. Poor Abbie.
