Hey...Prelims results were given for the past three-four days. Sigh. Unfortunately, I received unsatisfying results. However...MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!! Here's my results: EL-B4, E.Maths-A2, A.Maths-C6, Combined Humanities-B4 (Geog-A2, S.S.-C6), M.T.-B4, Bio-B3, Chem-A2 & Phy-C5. Yup, remember in my previous post, I said that I did worse for my Chemistry? Look again. I've got an A2!!! A MIRACLE!!! I was so damn lucky! For my E.Maths, I require 2.3marks to get an A1. Erghhh! That really pissed me off. I actually failed my A.Maths by 0.6marks. But, after moderation (I guess Mr Loo doesn't want me to fail), the marks got rounded up to 50, and I got a C6 due to that. This really excited me 'cause I won't see any Red Inks on my Report Card. Yay! I screwed up my Social Studies, didn't have enough time for it. Biology too. Forgot many things I just memorised the previous day. That kinda sucks. Physics, I didn't really bother bout that subject. But, I have to say it's luck again that gave me a pass in it. And I'm happy for it. Heehee
Today, went with Daniel to Bugis Street for a Shopping Spree. I don't know why I followed, but I guess I needed the time off. He went there to find Birthday Gifts for the Birthday People this month; Joanne, his Dad, his Cousin & Carine. He bought stuffs for them that are very good gifts as a whole. He is rich to buy them. While walking, we saw Olinda, the Tomboy from S'pore Idol 1. I saw her first, and Danny didn't believed it until he saw her face. Hee. I have to tell you...Bugis Street seems like a Maze now. Almost got lost. But thanks to my memory skills, we've found the correct shops and manage to find the way out. Heehee.
At this shop on the Second Floor, I saw a collection of vests on display. I currently have a taste in vests, 'cause I found out that they could be worn with anything, anytime & anywhere. Worn over a long-sleeve shirt or a t-shirt. And I have to say that I have t-shirts that has prints on it that doesn't really looks nice or appealing, so the vest is a nice way to hide those designs. Great idea, huh? Ok, back to the shop. The auntie gave some descriptions bout the vests, like they came from Hong Kong, showed us some ways to wear them, and also said "There's a shop that sells these at $43, but here they're only $33". I really did wanted to buy them, but I didn't bring enough money. Furthermore, I intend to go shopping after O's, not before. So, we told the auntie that we'll go around first, and she said "OK...But try to come back. If you come back, I give bout 10% Discount so they'll be $30". And we said Okay. However, when we returned to the First Floor, we saw a shop selling vests. They only cost $28. We were like shocked. Heehee. It's all bout going round the whole place first before buying (just like the Far East Plaza trip buying a formal dress code for Band Farewell Party).
Later, it was nearly time to Break Fast, and I was kinda late. Danny asked to go eat Mos Burger, but I refused 'cause I don't really like Japanese cuisine or those Rice Burgers. So, I decided to go Fish & Co. Before arriving, I totally forgot that it was a restaurant. That means EXPENSIVE FOOD!!! I was shocked 'cause I intended to save money and eat less. But I did totally the opposite of my intention. Spent $21 on the food, service charge & GST. Sigh. And I was totally stuffed.
After eating, while still sitting at our table, there was an Ang Moh family of three sitting at a 6-seated table. They were still figuring what to order until they saw bout five to six Chinese people waiting at the entrance to be seated. Due to that, they asked a waiter for them to move to the four-seated table that had just been cleared beside our table, so that the Chinese group could sit. They were very thoughtful and generous I might say. The thing that crosses my mind first was "Which Singaporean would do the same thing?" I really salute them...So far, the Ang Mohs have been very mannerful and thoughtful than us Singaporeans. Examples: They move away from the doors of the MRT trains so that people could depart first before they alight, place their contents on their trays in the trash bins at a fast food restaurant instead of having the cleaners to do it for them & many other things. I really salute them man.
At the MRT train, i almost fell over this guy 'cause of the train sudden movements. I was embarrassed by that. Heehee. When we're reaching Pasir Ris, we saw this woman who fell asleep with her mouth open. It wasn't a really good social etiquette to do that in public, and it was an unpleasant sight. However, Danny wanted to take photo of her but his phone will have flashes. He doesn't want to attract attention. So, I took out my phone and took her picture. I wanted to post her picture here, but I guess it will be a very bad thing to do. Thus, I didn't post it here. It was already evil of us to take photo of her without her permission. So, if God wanted to punish us, and you (the sleeping woman) is reading this, we are truly sorry for what we did. Forgiven?
Anyway, people at home all studying for O's while we're going out shopping. Kinda stupid isn't it?
